While counselling services provided by a Registered Professional Counsellor are not covered under the basic BC Medical Services Plan, many extended healthcare plans and workplace benefits offer coverage. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm whether your plan includes coverage for counselling services.

We understand that life can be unpredictable. However, to ensure fairness and availability for all clients, missed appointments not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will be charged the full session fee.

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations and rescheduling can easily be done through your account on the Power Diary platform by accessing the client portal. If you need immediate support or assistance, please contact us directly.

At Ephemeral Counselling, we believe that everyone deserves access to the support they need, regardless of financial circumstances. Our commitment is to provide counselling that is both attainable and affordable. We strive to ensure that care is both compassionate and accessible.

Ephemeral Counselling accepts only e-transfers for your sessions at the moment. After each appointment, you will receive a receipt with the counsellor’s registration number, which you can use to request reimbursement through your extended benefits plan.

Your privacy is our top priority. Following the ethical standards set by the Canadian Professional Counsellor Association (CPCA), all records, notes, and personal information are kept strictly confidential. Only Ephemeral Counselling has access to your file, and no information about your participation in counselling will be shared with anyone outside our office without your explicit written consent.
